The Pyramid Building, as the American's call it, is a former Iraqi Government building located in the International Zone. It was bombed heavily during the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

PYRAMID BUILDING

As you can see, the Pyramid Building is called that because of its shape. I think the Finance Minister called this home, or at least that is what I have been told. The U.S. Army moved into the compound and called it home for a while after they invaded Baghdad.

BATTLE DAMAGE

The building may look good on the outside, but the entire insides are gutted, courtesy of the U.S. Air Force. Here, you can see where one of our projectiles infiltrated the building.

MORE DESTRUCTION

The outside of the building shows battle wounds.

HOLE IN THE WALL

Another close-up of the outside of -- what once was -- a beautiful building.
